Attorneys
RICK CUNNINGHAM, attorney at law, has been practicing in Alva, Oklahoma for 30 years. He graduated with honors from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 1988, and is admitted to practice throughout Oklahoma and in the federal district court in the Western District of Oklahoma. Prior to attending law school, he worked in law enforcement, having worked as a criminal investigator for the District Attorney for District 26, State of Oklahoma, and as a police officer with the Midland, Texas and Alva, Oklahoma police departments. He also has extensive experience in the juvenile justice system, having served as an intake, probation and parole worker in the juvenile services division of the Oklahoma Department of Human Services. Mr. Cunningham holds both a Bachelors Degree in Police Science and a Masters Degree in Behavioral Science from Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva, Oklahoma, and a Juris Doctor Degree, with distinction, from the University of Oklahoma. He is a member in good standing with the American, Oklahoma and the Woods County Bar Associations (past president of the latter). He currently serves as the City Attorney for the City of Alva and board attorney for the Alva Hospital Authority, Alva Utility Authority and the Alva Economic Authority. Mr. Cunningham also serves as a board member and current Chairman of the Woods County Industrial Developoment Authority and as legal advisor for Northwest Family Services, Inc. (a local provider for youth and family services). He and his wife, Janet, have 4 adult children.
DREW CUNNINGHAM, Attorney at Law, is a recent graduate of the University of Oklahoma School of Law. He has begun his career with the Cunningham Law Office and offers the same full range of services. He is admitted to practice throughout the State of Oklahoma, and is a member of the Oklahoma and Woods County Bar Associations.
Prior to attending law school, Drew completed his four year degree in business at Northwestern Oklahoma State University.
